• Speed Up Access to Data: Over time your disk gets fragmented, which decreases the overall speed of your system. If the files are fragmented, it will take longer for your system to locate data. Running Disk Defragmenter regularly, can help you consolidate fragmented files and folders on your hard disk and speed up performance.
• Protect your pc against spyware: Spyware collects usernames and passwords and can put your confidential information at risk. In addition to that, it can cause a slow performance. There are many free anti-spyware programs available online that can help you remove spyware from your system.
• Get More Free Space: There are many things you can do to get more space. a) Empty the Recycle Bin. The data stored inside the Recycle Bin occupies a lot of space in the hard dive. b)Find and Delete Temporary Files, by emptying the Temporary Internet Files directory. c) Try to uninstall all the applications that are no longer needed by clicking Control Panel – “Add or Remove Program” and selecting any program that you no longer use.
• Fix a Corrupted Registry: The Windows registry is the heart of the system and registry errors can have a serious effect on your computer’s speed and performance. You need to remove all the invalid entries that are created every time you install or remove a program from your PC. But how does a corrupted registry affect performance? When Windows tries to access a registry filled with useless data, it will take ages for it to find the right info. There are plenty of programs online that can be downloaded and installed, which can scan your system for errors and keep your computer as clean as possible.
